Booking terms and conditions - Davidwmarine Services
1.1 Cancellation policy:
If for any reason the customer would like to cancel their booking, the cancellation must be made 5 working days in advance. Any cancellations made within 5 working days will incur a charge of £55 for a booking up to Half a day and £110 for up to a full day booking.
Davidwmarine Services may in some circumstances need to reschedule a booking. This will be done through phone call, text message, or email, and will be done with as much notice as possible.
2.1 Payment policy:
The preferred method of payment is through BACS (Bank transfer) at time of invoicing, however payment can be made my card or cash if BACS is not possible, or if there has been issues receiving BACS payments in the past.
2.2 Parts:
Parts are invoiced and paid for in advance, and Davidwmarine Services will order parts once payment has been received.
2.3 Refunds can be given, provided the supplier will accept the return only for a suitable reason and the following deductions made: Deductions for any cost incurred for returning to the supplier and a 25% admin fee.
2.4 Labor:
Payment for labor is charged on completion of work for the day. The ideal payment method is by bank transfer at the time, however payment by card can also be made with an additional charge for admin fees.
2.5 Further works:
Any job may take longer than expected. All prices given in advance to a job are estimates, however if a job takes longer than expected the charge may be higher. Davidwmarine Services will always endeavor to get works done in the timescale estimated, however this is not always possible.
3.0 Diagnostics through eliminating parts:
Sometimes when an issue could be caused by one of a few parts, the only way of finding out which part is the issue is to start by replacing parts until the problem part is found. Davidwmarine services will always try and start by replacing the cheapest part first to make it as affordable as possible.
3.1 Sometimes there can be more than one part that is faulty, again engineers will always be as transparent as possible and try their best to make the job as cost effective as possible.
4.0 Parts broken during a job:
There are times when parts break while removing them or bolts round or snap. Unfortunately, this can be unavoidable with engines that spend time on the water, especially salt water. Engineers will always try their best to avoid this, however may incur extra cost if a part or bolt breaks and needs replacing.
5.0 Unless further works are offered or advised the engine will be in working order on completion of work, if after this you have issues with the engine Davidwmarine Services can’t take any responsibility for this. Where possible the engine will be tested and it is strongly advised that the customer sees the engine running before the engineer leaves.
5.1 If after works are completed you use the boat and find issues please feel free to get in contact and we can advise best course of action to get you back on the water.
6.0 User error:
In the event that Davidwmarine Services is called out and the issue with the engine is user error from the customer, at a minimum a call out fee will be charged plus milage, however in some cases the full quoted cost may be charged.
7.0 Davidwmarine services will always do their best to give the best information and advice, however the customer should take this advice and make their own decision. Davidwmarine services takes no responsibility if incorrect information is interpreted or given.
